OnePlus also revealed that it will launch a new smartphone in the second quarter of 2022 that will support 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. The charging technology developed by Oppo Research Institute claims that it can charge a 4500mAh battery from 1 percent to 50 percent in just five minutes. Earlier in September 2021, during an announcement, it was told that it would merge OxygenOS and ColorOS into a single OS that would work on devices from both the companies. OnePlus has now revealed that its OxygenOS 13 will be an independent brand property when it comes to Android 13.
OnePlus’ sister-brand Oppo also showcased 150W SuperVOOC charging technology at MWC 2022 on Monday. It can be given on the upcoming Oppo flagship phone. Also a demo of 240W SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology was also given in which it is claimed that the 4500mAh battery can be charged from 1 percent to 100 percent in about 9 minutes. According to the company, the 240W SuperVOOC comes with 5 safety protection measures that use a customized battery chip. It controls the voltage, current and temperature on the smartphone.
