How to use ECG app on Apple Watch-
The ECG app records your heart using the electrical heart sensor on the Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, Series 6 or Series 7. May then check the recording for atrial fibrillation (AFib). This is an irregular rhythm.
Install and set up the ECG app
The ECG app is installed in the Health app during the ECG app setup. To set up the ECG app, follow these steps-
Open the Health app on your iPhone.
Follow the onscreen steps. If you don’t see a prompt to set up, tap the Browse tab, then go to Heart, go to Electrocardiogram (ECG) and then tap Set up ECG app.
After completing the set up, open the ECG app to take the ECG.
If you still can’t see the app on your Apple Watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap Heart. In the ECG section, tap on Install to install the ECG app.
How to check ECG-
You can take an ECG at any time, you should have your ECG checked when you are experiencing symptoms such as rapid or stoppage of heartbeat.
Make sure your Apple Watch is good and strapped to your wrist. To check, open the Apple Watch app. Then tap on the My Watch tab. Then go to General and go to Watch Orientation.
Open the ECG app on your Apple Watch.
Place your arm on the table or on your lap.
With a hand other than your watch hand, hold your finger on the Digital Crown.
Recording takes 30 seconds. At the end of the recording you will find a category. Then you can edge the symptoms or you can select them.
To note any symptoms, tap Save, then tap Done.
